Isabella | Pirongia newborn photography

I wanted to donate a newborn photography session to someone who was deserving of it – someone who had been through struggles or hardships or someone who was always thinking about others and deserved something in return. There were so many nominations for the competition I ran that it made me want to give away more than one session, but the beautiful tribute written by Isabella’s grandma was the deciding factor. Isabella’s parents had battled through health and financial hardships of their own, but in spite of that they also opened their home to their three little nieces whose family were facing some difficulties, having them come and stay for extended periods and driving them long distances to stay with others. I felt inspired and touched by their story and was so glad to be able to donate the session to such a great family.

Baby Isabella made us work hard for her photos during her newborn studio photography session! She was such a sweet little girl, but not particularly keen to peacefully drift off to sleep! It did mean we got some beautiful photos of her big, bright eyes and her signature little half frown. I adore photos of peacefully sleeping babies, but sometimes a wide awake baby means some stunning photos that we would never get otherwise.

After lots of extra feeding and settling, Isabella snuggled up on her tummy for a good sleep, and we got some gorgeous photos of her tucked up on my beanbag. Just look at those rosy lips, rolls and wrinkles, and her chubby cheeks! And who can resist tiny little baby toes?

I hope you enjoy this gallery as much as I enjoyed working with this wonderful family!
