Stories make the world go ‘round.

Stories of far-flung, exotic places. Stories of other times. Stories of great adventures and amazing people.

Let's tell the story that's closest to your heart.

YOURS.

Don't just capture your family's dry, lifeless history - the facts and figures and ages and stages, in a could-be-anyone photo shoot.

Let it come to life in a way that you'll all remember forever.

The characters with their individual personalities. The love and connections that tie you together. The little details that give it colour and life. The grand adventures that fill this stage of your lives (because some days just getting dressed feels like a grand adventure).

We can't wait to tell your family's story.

Your story

If you just want “a nice family photo”, we can definitely help you with that.

We hope we can do more for you than that, though.

We'd love to tell your family's story.

We make sure every photo shoot includes “the grandma shot” - the perfect classic family photo of everyone relaxed and happy, smiling at the camera, that you know grandma would love to have framed on her shelf. But the best photo shoots are about so much more than just that.

When you really connect to a story, it makes you FEEL something. You get to know the characters, you care about what happens to them. They feel alive.

We want your photo shoot to have the same impact - so that every time you look at your photos, you feel it in your gut. You feel those little arms around your neck, you feel the soft baby hair, you hear the laughter and the chaos, you feel overwhelmed with the love you have for each of them and the way you all fit together.

Let's celebrate your story.

Here’s a little taste of someone else’s story. What will yours feel like?

I just had to tell you how super happy I have been all afternoon and evening! I have honestly been on a "photo high" ever since I left your place! I am just so over the moon with all the photos you captured of our family! They are just perfect in every way, and to think you managed to do that working with Lyla at her grizzliest, me at my fattest, and working with a non-photogenic husband, and a teenager trying her hardest not to smile! But you absolutely brought the best out in all of us, and managed to get the most amazing, natural, fun-loving and meaningful connection photos.

I see you talking about photos telling a story, and these photos just absolutely do that! I am just so excited to see them get on my walls. They really are the best photos of us I've ever seen.

Make your walls happy

We're passionate about getting your photos front and centre where you can see them every day - on your walls, your shelves, designed into your decor. Because what better way to celebrate your family than seeing your love and connections every day? A little reminder that, no matter what comes your way, this is what matters.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach with our photo shoots, so these distinctions can be a little blurry! Babies are welcome at family photo shoots; family photos are welcomed (in fact, encouraged!) at newborn photo shoots.

However, they do tend to run pretty differently to each other, so we’ve set out info for each of them in their own categories.

If you’re pregnant and wanting to capture your new baby as teeny tiny as possible, follow the newborn link.

If you have an older baby, or babies are just a distant memory (or babies of your own are just somewhere off in the distant future!), follow the family link.

I am a newborn and family photographer based in Te Awamutu, New Zealand. My studio sessions are held in my home studio in Te Awamutu. Lifestyle session fees include travel to most of Hamilton, as well as Cambridge, Tamahere, Raglan, Kawhia, Matangi, Pirongia, Ohaupo, Kihikihi, Otorohanga, and a range of rural areas across the Waikato.  I am happy to travel further, including Auckland, Tauranga, Papamoa, Mount Maunganui and other coastal locations, for an extra cost.
